Our Story

Why we do what we do.

We want to carry on the excellent legacy of our family business. Part of that legacy is our dedicated staff and hardworking employees. We are indebted to our loyal and faithful employees who have worked for us for many years — some for over 30 years. Their commitment and dedication are what has made our business so successful. Our employees take pride in the fact that they are part of our family-oriented business, and they have helped us become the leading and premier linen rental company of the tri-state area.

How we do business. We are a total-service restaurant linen provider that accepts very minimal errors. We hold ourselves to a high standard and derive quick remedies for any possible conflict that could arise. We strive to treat even our smallest customer just as well as our largest — and our goal is for every customer to receive our top-notch service and care.

What we're most proud of. Our tradition and history. We are a three-generation family business, founded in 1946 by Max Spatt, a Czechoslovakian immigrant who, after fighting in World War II, began selling bar mops, beauty parlor and barber towels, and hand towels throughout the New York metropolitan area. His son-in-law Edward later purchased the business and expanded the family dream with his wife, Lenore. Today, Lenore and Edward Jr. continue the first-rate operation of the business after the sad passing of Edward Sr.

What we stand for. We stand for perfection. We strive to deliver flawless service and customer satisfaction — even if it means delivery on holidays. We go above and beyond to make our customers satisfied and happy.

What we stand against. We don't accept excuses. The words problem, can't, won't, and don't are not part of our vocabulary during work hours. We look for the positive in everything — all needs and challenges are an opportunity to problem-solve and find solutions.

What We Stand For

A family business at heart — a precision operation in practice.

Three generations have shaped how we work. Every value below shows up in the truck that pulls up to your back door at 4 a.m.

Family First

We treat every client the way Grandpa Abe treated his first deli on Delancey — like family worth keeping for life.

On Time, Always

NYC kitchens don't wait. Neither do we. Pre-dawn deliveries, seven days a week, holidays included.

Hospital-Grade Clean

Every linen passes a 14-point inspection. If it isn't perfect, it doesn't go in the truck.

Built for the City

Our routes are mapped block by block — five boroughs, no exceptions, no surcharges.

A sophisticated table setting with a vibrant floral centerpiece.
Our Standards

Every linen, measured against three generations of expectation.

We don't grade ourselves on industry averages. We grade ourselves on the day our grandfather would have inspected the cart before it left the laundry. Here's how we score.

What We're Most Proud Of

Three generations. One family. One standard.

First, we are proud of our tradition and history. A three-generation family business, founded in 1946 — still run by the people whose name is on the door.

Max Spatt, Founder. A Czechoslovakian immigrant, Max came to the United States after fighting in World War II and founded the business in 1946. He began by selling Bar Mops, Beauty Parlor and Barber towels, and Hand towels throughout the New York Metropolitan area — building his route one shop at a time, on foot and on trust.
Edward & Lenore, Second Generation. Max's business grew steadily, and eventually his son-in-law Edward purchased the company and expanded the family dream alongside his wife, Lenore. Together they scaled the operation, deepened relationships with longtime customers, and carried Max's standards into a new era of the New York linen trade.
Lenore & Edward Jr., Third Generation. Today, after the sad passing of Edward Sr., Lenore and Edward Jr. continue the first-rate operation of the business. The BMT family of dedicated personnel carries on Max and Edward's tradition and commitment — making sure you get your desired linen from our shelves to your business in record timing.
